Membership Drive

CES currently enjoys a membership of approximately 400 people. Our membership, mostly established in the late 1990s has been very supportive over the years through tumultuous times. The last few years have been a rather dormant period for CES. There are many of you who, in the past few years, have either moved to Cortes or become more connected to the island. This summer, we are asking you to become a member. Through membership, you will stay more informed and simultaneously support our work.

Why become a member?

• A well informed and active community membership base is one of the most valuable tools we have to offer in community partnership.
• A strong membership is a key indication to government of our local support.
• You can stay more informed of CES activities and negotiations through our regular newsletter, and periodic info snapshots.
• You membership contributions and donations keep the organisation alive.
• Our active membership writes letters at key times, and numbers make a difference!

If you agree with our mission (hyperlinked), for $10, please become a CES member. Your membership entitles you to bi-annual newsletters, occasional email announcements regarding ecoforestry related news, events and action items. You are also able to purchase our Cortes Island Hiking map for a reduced price of $15.
